Children of aged 8 to 14 reportedly burnt to death as they return from sports competition today

Young children returning from a sports competition were among at least 31 killed when their bus collided with a truck in Morocco and burst into flames. The tour bus, carrying the young athletes and their coaches, crashed into the truck, which may have been carrying petrol, early this morning near the southern Moroccan city of Tan-Tan. Most victims were killed by a fire that broke out on the bus straight after the crash.

Regional officials have confirmed a majority of the victims were children aged eight to 14, while several private media outlets have put the death-toll much higher, with at least 40 dead. More photos from scene below..
