President Jonathan appoints Peter Obi as Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission

Reports reaching me indicates that President Goodluck Jonathan has made another annointment as the May 29 hand-over date draws nearer. The President, Channels TV reports  appointed former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, as the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Peter Obi’s appointment was announced on Monday. According to the presidency, his appointment takes immediate effect.
