The United States has announced that it will provide up to $45 million in military services to support countries fighting Boko Haram. Chad, Niger, Cameroon, Benin Republic and Nigerian are the countries most hit by the terrorists and Chad and Niger were at a U.N meeting yesterday to ask for the help of European nations.
Millions of people have been displaced following Boko Haram attacks on border towns in the Lake Chad basin area. The US had earlier pledged $27 million to the four countries as they set up a multi regional task force to fight Boko Haram. This time, the U.S has offered to provide military training as well as military equipment to the African countries
