Delta State Tribunal upholds Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s election

The Governorship election tribunal sitting in Delta state has upheld the election f Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Delta state Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal dismissed the suit by Chief Great Ogboru, candidate of the Labour Party in the governorship election on 11 April, affirming instead the election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa..


The tribunal headed by Justice Nasir Gunmi gave the ruling in Asaba today, amidst accusations that Okowa’s supporters already knew what was coming and were jubilating on Sunday. The tribunal is expected to also dismiss the challenge posed by Olorogun O’tegha Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress.
