The Special Anti-Robbery section of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested six suspected armed robbers, who allegedly attacked a female inspector, attached to State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, and collected her bag containing N50,000 and other valuables..
The robbers attacked the inspector at the Idi Oro bus stop when she came down from a commercial bus around 10:30pm last Wednesday and snatched her bag.
The matter was reported at the Anti-Robbery section of the SDCI and 23 suspects were picked up from the bus stop the following day. The inspector was said to have identified six of the suspects as the attackers.
The suspects are Monday Dahoof, 19; Opeyemi Abiodun, 28; Moshood Ibrahim, 27; Ademola Adeyanka, 28; Tope Akinyemi, 34; and Ibrahim Kamilu, 22.
However, the suspects denied attacking the inspector.
